How Escrow Works
Secure Escrow
When you fund a bounty, the funds are held in escrow until a contributor's PR is merged. This protects both you and the contributor:
- • Funds are only released when work is completed and merged
- • Contributors know the funds are guaranteed
- • You can cancel unfunded bounties at any time
- • Refunds are available if no work is completed
Fees
MergeFund charges a small platform fee to cover payment processing and operations:
Platform Fee: 5%
This fee is added on top of your bounty amount. For example, a $100 bounty would cost $105 total.
